As our sister company, City Rent a Truck, grew, we kept hitting the same roadblock: waiting 6–12 months—or longer—for upfits from outside vendors. We were paying for trucks that just sat in an upfit yard, generating zero revenue and killing our momentum. So we took matters into our own hands. Perfecting the Craft: Our focus was clear—timeline and quality. We got trucks job-ready faster, and we did it right the first time. Over time, our team tackled tougher builds, custom requests, and proved every upfit in the harshest environment possible: rental. When those trucks held up again and again, we knew we had something bigger. From Internal Fix to Industry Leader: Soon, other companies were asking us to handle their fleet upfits. Demand grew so strong that City Truck Equipment became its own operation—dedicated to helping companies take control of their fleet timelines and performance.
