About Citybility

Citybility is a benefit corporation that, starting from a specific focus on childhood, enables the alliance between kindergardens, families, businesses and institutions, spreading a new form of participation and systemic generative consumption with the aim of building, in the present, the best possible future for our children. In fact, if according to a famous African saying "It takes an entire village to raise a child", Citybility wants to "bring the whole village together", so as to be able to tackle problems and "systemic fragilities", starting from those related to childhood, with a unanimous response that sees the participation of all the parties involved. Why Childhood? Maria Montessori said: "The emotions experienced in the first years of life, and other sensations that aroused joy or pain, leave indelible traces that will affect our actions and reactions throughout our life". Contextualizing these words nowadays, it can also be said that the problems and negative dynamics that are now under the eyes of all, then risk reverberating throughout the future life of an individual, resulting in many of the macro-problems that can be seen in our society, and whose resolution can lead an individual to self-fulfill himself within the community and society in general. Also allowing the community itself to flourish again. In fact, if a quality childhood can literally change the future fate of an individual, and of an entire family, in the same way, intervening on childhood automatically leads to counteracting other problems that afflict our society: educational poverty, gender inequality, female unemployment, just to name a few. A society that already contains all the seeds for a change. It just needs everyone to realize it and take better care of it.
