Civics with Slade is a nonpartisan civic education initiative created by Jessica Slade to make Canadian — and especially rural — politics more accessible, engaging, and relatable. Through videos, articles, workshops, and community events, Jessica breaks down complex political processes into plain language, empowering people to understand how decisions are made, why their voices matter, and how they can get involved between (and beyond) elections. The goal of Civics with Slade is to build civic confidence and strengthen Canada’s democratic culture, especially in communities that often feel disconnected or overlooked.
