About Clamason Industries Limited
Created in Kingswinford West Midlands in 1947 the company originally specialised in small, complex parts utilising both multi-slide and low tonnage high speed presses – an expertise that remains a core competence. From the early 1970′s Clamason secured a marketplace for its’ precision pressings in the dynamic world of personal computers, relocation to larger premises, the addition of sub-assembly and larger presses helped facilitate the company’s rapid growth. With the exodus of the computer industry to the Far East, Clamason refocused and diversified. Thanks to the investment in larger machines, and robotic welding facilities the company was able to target the expanding automotive safety, and electronics sectors, specifically airbags, & engine control units which along with in-car-entertainment became a major growth area. The company also recognised the need for quality systems and training, adding a National Training Award to BS5750, onward to QS9000 and accreditation to TS16949 > IATF16949:2016. From the new Millennium to the present day significant new product areas are medical devices, automotive infotainment and specialist springs with quality again playing a major role. Clamason currently has two European facilities, one in the heart of the Black Country the home of manufacturing in the UK, the other in Nitra, Slovakia, centrally located to service the needs of its’ customers across mainland Europe. The overall manufacturing space at both sites was increased to 12,000 square meters during the summer of 2017 to satisfy increased demand.
