About Clarion Area Agency on Aging, Inc
The Clarion Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is a social services organization serving adults aged 60 and older and residing in Clarion County, with a wide variety of services and programs. Our mission is to assist older adults (and their families) to remain in the community, supported by quality in-home services. The agency also operates four (4) senior center, providing education, socialization, health and wellness programs and a hot meal. To protect older adults, both in the community and those in assisted living facilities, the agency provides protection services under the Older Adult Protective Services Act (OAPS) and manages the ombudsman program. Care managers make home visits to determine the need for such in-home services as home-delivered meals. These are provided county-wide to homebound older adults, as well as personal care to those who require such assistance. The agency contracts with a variety of providers for home health, adult day care, durable medical equipment and personal emergency response systems. The agency operates the Health Insurance Counseling (Apprise) program to assist older adults and their families with insurance enrollment, questions, problems and the open enrollment period for Medicare and Medicare Part D (prescription). The AAA is a core partner with the Aging and Disability Resource Center or Link to provide seamless information and referral services geared toward older adults, their families, and individuals with disabilities.
