About Clarksville Civitan Club
Clarksville Civitan Club is a community service club that was founded in 1922. Our club’s goal is to build good citizenship by providing an organization of volunteers dedicated to serving individual and community needs with an emphasis on helping people with developmental disabilities. Our club raises money throughout the year through several service projects such as: Vidalia onion sales, Claxton fruitcake sales, and the Austin Peay scholarship scavenger hunt at Riverfest. The money raised supports various different organizations including Progressive Directions, NIA Association, the Civitan International Research Center, the Special Olympics, and Austin Peay scholarships. The Clarksville Civitan Club holds a weekly lunch meeting every Wednesday at 1130 AM in the Christian Life Center of Hilldale UMC, 1751 Madison St, Clarksville, TN. Our meetings are full of fellowship as well as a weekly guest speaker program. The weekly programs are very informative and allow our member’s to grow in knowledge about different aspects of our community. Our club currently has around 100 members and are actively recruiting for new membership. All are welcome to visit our club and see if it is the right fit for you.
