Clean Stream Afterburners, LLC designs and builds pollution control systems used to meet the needs of commercial coffee roasters. While some areas view the roaster exhaust smoke as a simple “nuisance” which needs to be remedied, other areas will have strict emission control standards which need to be adhered to. The "Clean Stream Afterburner" series is a cost effective solution to this growing requirement in the roasting industry. These systems work by heating the coffee roaster exhaust gasses up to a point where the smoke, odor, VOC and CO is broken down through the process of oxidation. Our standard Clean Stream Afterburner systems are considered “Thermal Oxidizers”, which means they function by heating up the roaster exhaust gasses to around 1200 F. Our upgraded models are “Catalytic Oxidizers”, which have an integrated catalyst module. The catalyst module allows for a high destruction efficiency at a lower temperature of around 600 F. This lower operating temperature allows for a substantial fuel savings.
