Clear Peak Energy started when founders Eric and Nic noticed a disconnect between existing solar companies and the markets they serve. Online ads read “SAVE MONEY, GET RID OF YOUR POWER BILL”, which are wonderful benefits of solar, but there are a lot of ways to save money and reduce your power bill. Why solar? We asked ourselves that, and quickly realized that solar panels weren’t really invented just to save a couple of bucks on the light bill every month. Solar was invented to help save the planet, and that's the primary ideal we founded Clear Peak Energy on. We recycle because we’ve seen overflowing landfills polluting our communities and cause environmental strain, and we know that collective effort and small contributions can make an incredibly large impact. While the effects of a far off coal-fired power plant are less apparent, millions of people die every year from pollution related causes. Solar is one of the most important tools we have to reduce pollution and its effects while providing the energy our communities need. Clear Peak was started to set the intentions of an industry, and put power back in the hands of the people. We don't like the huge power monopolies controlling our power, raising prices, and polluting our environment.
