About Clements & Porter Architects

Clements and Porter Architects was founded by two partners, David Porter and Elspeth Clements, in 1979 and became a limited company in 1999. C&PA is a general practice undertaking a wide range of projects over a number of sectors. However, much of its work is in the housing sector, both new build and refurbishment for private developers and housing associations. Other projects include community projects, hotels, mixed use development, retail, restaurants, leisure, health and education facilities. The practice prides itself on its ability to deal with difficult backland and brownfield sites to meet demanding briefs. Elspeth Clements is an accredited RIBA Conservation Architect reflecting the practice's wealth of experience of working on Listed Buildings and within Conservation Areas. C&PA has worked extensively on and in the vicinity of heritage assets notably in the Spitalfields area of East London with work commended by both English Heritage and the local conservation officers. C&PA is an RIBA Chartered Practice offering a full range of services including party wall, CDM and contract administration and is therefore able to guide clients through the construction process from inception to completion and offer expert advice at any stage.
