When Mia Stegner adopted Cléo on a gorgeous autumn day in 2021, the two of them had no idea they'd be launching a company mere weeks later. But between Mia's background as a musician with a film degree and Cléo's contagious zest for life, it was meant to be. Leading up to the launch of their sync business, Mia had been working with a few sync agencies and learning about music licensing for her own music. The more involved she became, the more she found herself thinking of her peers. In addition to being drawn to the intersections of music and media, she has also considered pursuing a career in artist management, so the thought of working for other artists, with one foot in the film world and the other in music, didn't take much convincing. Once the idea was born, it grew fast, and Cléo's been by her side every step of the way, offering constant inspiration and impeccable judgment. In addition to her work as a sync agent, Mia is a singer/songwriter and multi-disciplinary artist. As an enjoyer of art and someone who knows how isolating freelance work can be, she's passionate about discovering other independent artists and doing what she can to lift them up and create a sense of community. With that in mind, we feature artists of all backgrounds and mediums on our Instagram page, with an emphasis on finding and highlighting creatives who are queer, disabled, BIPOC, or otherwise marginalized. It's still small and will likely stay that way, but our vision is to be a sweet little spot to discover new artists and support creative work.
