Climate Emergency Grassroots Education Program (Climate CEGEP/CEGEP du climat) is a community initiative based in Montreal. Set to launch in September 2025, Climate CEGEP’s Post-Apocalypse 101 is an eight-week, hands-on course that builds climate resilience through a focus on justice, solidarity, and practical skills. The program is rooted in a decolonial, anti-oppressive, and intersectional vision, and centres the needs of BIPOC, LGBTQ2+, disabled, and newcomer communities. Participants learn how to grow food, access clean water, generate energy, communicate in emergencies, and support one another through mutual aid. The course blends land-based knowledge with modern technology to help people prepare for the realities of the climate crisis and take care of their communities.
