About Clinical Research Center of Tel Aviv
The Clinical Research Center (CRC) is an early-phase clinical pharmacology unit located at Tel-Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (TASMC), one of Israel’s major tertiary hospital. It was the first dedicated Phase-I unit founded in Israel, established with the blessing of the Ministry of Health and enjoys the full support of TASMC hospital, the largest acute care facility in Israel. EXPERTISE The CRC is led by Dr. Jacob Atsmon, an expert in Israel in conducting early-phase clinical trials and supported by the R&D division of the medical center. It includes a talented team of medical staff and technicians. To date, the facility is a leader in its field, having conducted more than 300 early phase clinical studies, working with international and local pharmaceutical companies, startups, CROs, research institutes and other official health organizations. EXCELLENCE IN EXECUTION All CRC activities are conducted under rigorous GCP standards and are compliant with international and local Israeli regulations. Many studies completed in the unit were also part of submissions to the FDA and EMA. With a long-standing and established record of successful clinical trials, the CRC maintains a continuous dialogue with the Ministry of Health relating to any regulatory issues raised to ensure compliance with the latest requirements. CAPABILITIES The facility carries out early-phase healthy volunteer and patient studies, focusing on safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic and immunogenic aspects of novel products (small molecules, biological compounds and vaccines), generic drugs and drug-delivery systems. As the CRC is located in the heart of Tel Aviv, Israel's largest city, it is highly accessible to clients, volunteers and service providers. The CRC prides itself on its personal yet professional approach and ability to understand, advise and address client needs, helping ensure first-in-human studies are of the highest quality and quickly get underway.
