Clinipal provides an efficient communication medium between Clinicians and Medical students, allowing clinical skills, theory and bedside teaching to be arranged promptly. Clinicians will gain experience and feedback as medical educators, and students can optimise the time they spend on Clinical attachments. Clinipal exists as an app, consisting of two functionalities: 1) Clinical skills finder: A system enabling medical students to quickly find specific Clinical Skills that need completing within the hospital. The jobs can either be posted by clinicians or requested by students, with cloud-based technology connecting clinician and student. 2) Teaching finder: Teaching finder enables clinicians to create teaching sessions in response to topic requests from students. The sessions can be quickly searched for and sign up via the app with an inbuilt messaging service ensuring change of plans are accounted for. For both functions, the app has a feedback page where clinicians can collect feedback on their facilitation of teaching and clinical skills. This provides an opportunity to reflect on and improve as clinical educators as well as collecting crucial evidence of medical teaching for e-portfolios.
