About CLIP - Oporto International School
CLIP believes the future will be shaped by extraordinary individuals who will meet the challenges of the 21st century through versatile intellectual competence, a passion for discovery, increased social fairness and uncompromising commitment. CLIP was established in 1990 (school year 1990-91) with a class of 44 students. Today CLIP has approximately 1000 students, aged 3 to 18, becoming one of the largest and most well reputed international schools in Portugal. CLIP is proud of its diversified community, with students from more than 40 different countries, representing 35% of the student body. CLIP is a fully accredited school by the Council of International Schools (CIS), since 2013. As an International school we wish to foster a wide range of skills and abilities in our students and teachers, beyond that which are bound by the curriculum. We strive at offering an excellent, quality educational service, with quality staff that feels valued, to a customer base that are getting the best education available, aiming at equipping our students with strong instruments as to allow them to participate as full-right agents of the society of the future so that they succeed relatively to the average of the society where they operate in, making interesting and creative lives. We achieve this by offering students the opportunity and conditions to become literate, competent, educated, skilled, multilingual and multicultural, informed citizens, appreciative of the arts, capable of using essential declarative and procedural knowledge, exceeding their boundaries, thus creating a quality educational provision, without being elitistic or unrealistic.
