About Clonakilty Food

Welcome to Clonakilty Food Company. We are an Irish family-business, passionate about bringing our family of great tasting products into homes here in Ireland and abroad. Our story dates back to a butcher shop in 1880’s West Cork where Clonakilty Blackpudding was first made using a secret recipe, that was carefully passed down through the generations of butchers. In 1976 when Edward Twomey and his wife Colette purchased the butcher shop he also inherited the secret recipe for black pudding. As a result of the Twomey’s passion and sheer determination, the popularity of Clonakilty Blackpudding spread beyond the town and in to nearby villages, towns, counties and further afield. Since then, we’ve grown our business and product offerings to include Clonakilty Whitepudding, Clonakilty Sausages, Clonakilty Rashers and more recently Clonakilty Veggie Pudding. From what began in a small butcher shop, Clonakilty Food Co. is now an international business spanning Ireland, UK, Europe, Australia, and the UAE. Interested in finding out more about our story?
