About Cluster SequoIA

Led by the University of Rennes and its partners, the Cluster SequoIA is a European research and training environment in cybersecurity, environment, ocean and AI, drawing on internationally renowned expertise in Brittany. Our mission? To build an innovative ecosystem that drives excellence in AI, for cybersecurity and for environmental sciences and oceanography. With the prestigious IA-Cluster label and a €20M budget awarded by the National Research Agency over 5 years, we're poised to lead the way in AI applications across critical domains. Our Ambition: Trust and Security in AI We investigate the opportunities and tackle the challenges of AI-based systems, focusing on trust and security matters. Our expertise spans core AI research, with applications to the cybersecurity and defense sectors, as well as the environment and the oceans. Through this partnership with excellent institutions, we contribute to France's national AI strategy and France 2030 objectives, to ensure the development of secure and relatiable innovations. Our Actions: Fueling Research, Training, and Innovation We' will not only invest in research chairs, doctoral and postdoctoral programs, we will also look to attract global talents. To cultivate a top-tier workforce in the field of AI, we are establishing a graduate school in collaboration with our academic partners. We will launch programs of excellence, student projects, and hackathons tailored to our partners' needs, and offer lifelong learning courses.
