About Cluster Tecnologico Nazionale Energia

CTNE, whose technological domain is that of the energy processes of source-utilization, promotes actions aimed at supporting research, development and technological transfer in the Energy specialization field. The work of CTNE is carried out to make sure that the request for innovation in the industrial area can meet the innovation offer coming from the highly qualified research facilities of the Country to reach the expected targets in research planning and the leading international and national strategic agendas (Mission Innovation, SET-Plan, Energy Union Strategy, PNIEC, PNR, Smart Specialization Strategy, Industria 4.0). CTNE aims to facilitate a coordinated and inclusive action and helps the industrial subjects with more "competition" in the international and European scenarios (like SMEs). Our role is to be an input and support to the development of the projects coordinated by our Country, taking care, in particular, of the connexion and integration between research, innovation and industrial development in the energy field. This, to increase the success rate and favor a higher concentration on the strategic research lines for national industry, other than the technological transfer of results and products of the research itself. The CTNE wants, thus, to include all the operating actors with different titles and levels in the energy field, to research, develop and mature the future generation of technologies, products and innovative energy services; to support the decarbonization process of the economic system and the transition towards a new sustainable energy model.
