About Clyde Gateway

Clyde Gateway is an urban regeneration company which exists to drive inward investment and improvement for the people and communities across the east end of Glasgow and South Lanarkshire. Covering the communities of Bridgeton, Dalmarnock and Rutherglen, we are a partnership of Glasgow City Council, South Lanarkshire Council and Scottish Enterprise, with financial backing from the Scottish Government. We have been identified within the National Planning Framework as Scotland's top regeneration priority. Our focus is on delivering social, economic and physical change to the 840 hectares (equivalent to 1,220 football pitches) of Clyde Gateway. This includes an ambitious programme of housing, social and community facilities regeneration, as well as bringing inward investment and business expansion to the area. We are working to bring real economic and social transformation to the area by tackling inequalities, creating jobs and opportunities, and ultimately improving the lives of those who live in the area. More than an urban makeover, this project is about extending and enhancing the legacy of the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games by delivering real-life improvements to residents and businesses in the area. In October 2016 we launched Magenta, a stunning riverside development and urban business district which will offer state-of-the business and leisure facilities just one mile and within 5 to 10 minutes’ public transport from Glasgow City Centre.
