About Coach-Mentors

Coach-Mentors is a program that helps clients (adolescents, young adults and adults) put into practice the goals they are working on by providing practical assistance in the "real-world" between therapy sessions or following discharge from residential treatment. We help our clients navigate the challenges they face in real life as they try to implement the goals discussed in therapy, or as part of a discharge plan. We meet clients at home or in the community with a focus of getting things done and connecting the important work in therapy with everyday life. We are achievement and goal oriented, and with input from the client, family and any clinicians involved, develop an individualized Action Plan for each client which helps guide the work we do together. Coach-Mentors also supports therapists by helping their clients translate the work done during therapy in the office into "real-life" success, thus reinforcing the value and effectiveness of therapy. In addition to the core mission of Coach-Mentors, we also provide Parent & Family and Career & Leadership Coaching. PARENT / FAMILY COACHING: Coach-Mentors assists parents in making practical changes to improve family relationships. Whether the focus is on accountability, discipline, changing roles, or other family dynamics, Coach-Mentors’ Family Support Coach can help strengthen and improve family functioning through identifying limiting patterns and behaviors and assisting parents to implement more effective parenting strategies necessary for family cohesiveness. LEADERSHIP & CAREER COACHING: Leadership and career coaching equips students, young professionals and emerging leaders with the skills necessary for success. Our services can include objectives such as finding the ideal job, making a career change, advancing at work, selecting a major or improving your confidence and skills for public speaking. We help our clients set obtainable goals and provide the expertise to help achieve those goals.
