About Coaches Choice | Healthy Learning
Monterey Bay Video Productions (”MBVP”) was founded in 1997 by Dr. James A. Peterson with the goal of establishing the Company as the leading video content provider of instructional education materials for coaches under the “Coaches Choice” imprint, covering a wide assortment of team and individual sports. The Company has since expanded its instructional videos ranging from aquatics to wrestling and includes book publishing, digital video workshops and clinical presentations by a number of the world’s most respected coaches in their respective sport. The Company also publishes instructional materials for health, fitness, medical, science, wellness, and youth development professionals under the “Healthy Learning” imprint on topics such as health, wellness and exercise. Many of the titles published by Healthy Learning were produced in cooperation with a number of leading institutions including: American College of Sports Medicine; American Council on Exercise; Medical Fitness Association; American Camp Association; IDEA Health & Fitness Association; International Health, Racquet, & Sports Club Association; National Athletic Trainers’ Association; and the National Strength and Conditioning Association. As MBVP has grown, the Company has recognized the tremendous opportunity for growth online in the form of DVD downloads, eBooks, and video streaming content from numerous sources, including joint ventures, partnerships and curriculum development in conjunction with various associations for professional certification and licensure.
