Coagulation Consultants Laboratory has performed reliable coagulation testing for Chicago area hospitals and physicians since 1980. The director has spent over 30 years in coagulation research and still maintains an active role in whole blood coagulation and fibrinolysis. The lab’s prime objective is to provide our customers with the highest quality individualized service in a timely manner (4-8 Hr. turnaround times) while keeping costs as low as possible. In order to save both the hospital and the patient money we perform sequential diagnostic testing rather than performing unnecessary tests associated with many profile packages. Therefore, once the screening results are shown to be negative, we will call the lab and/or the requesting physician for permission to cancel or re-direct the testing. In addition, since all plasma samples are stored at –70°C for at least one more month, additional tests can be requested without further costs for phlebotomy and messenger service.
