About Coalition For Civil Freedoms
Established in 2010, CCF’s mission is to defend civil liberties and freedoms, promote a fair U.S. criminal justice system, and advocate for the rights of political prisoners targeted in the “War on Terror.” We are a survivor-led nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the abuses of the U.S. domestic "War on Terror." As a coalition of civil liberties and human rights organizations, we challenge preemptive prosecution and the post-9/11 targeting, surveillance, and criminalization of Muslim communities. CCF’s core areas of work include education and outreach, prisoner and family support, legal services, grassroots advocacy, policy, and research. We work to amplify the voices of those directly impacted and empower them to advocate for meaningful change. Through direct action, civic engagement, and public awareness campaigns, CCF mobilizes communities to transform the criminal legal system to one built on fairness and equality. Our vision for justice is freedom for political prisoners, an end to political repression, and the protection of the rights of all people.
