About Coastal Dance

Coastal Dance is a well-established dance studio based in Currumbin, Queensland, proudly shaping dancers since 1978. Founded by Kay Horsey and now led by principal Kate Grazioli, we offer high-quality dance training in a warm, welcoming, and professional environment. Our studio caters to students aged 2 years to pre-professional level, with both recreational and competitive pathways available. We offer training in a wide range of genres, including: COMDANCE Ballet & Jazz Tapatak Oz Tap Contemporary Hip Hop Musical Theatre Acrobatics Commercial Jazz Our programs include exam preparation, eisteddfod teams, solo performance opportunities, and workshops with industry professionals. Students at Coastal Dance are not just taught steps—they are nurtured to develop confidence, discipline, creativity, and resilience. We’re proud to have seen many of our students go on to professional careers, dancing for companies such as Moulin Rouge, Royal Caribbean, and beyond. Coastal Dance is also home to experienced and award-winning teachers, including Tapatak Oz Teacher of the Year 2021, Kate Grazioli. With a legacy of nearly 50 years in the community, we are passionate about creating an inclusive, inspiring space for every dancer—whether they dream of the stage or simply love to move. At Coastal Dance, we don’t just teach dance. We build confidence, community, and a deep love for the art form.
