About Coastal Healing Counselling

I am a Registered Social Worker (#14141) with a Master of Social Work (Clinical specialization) from the University of British Columbia. I am passionate about working with children, youth, families, and adults experiencing a variety of challenges. I have completed specialized training in family counselling and therapy for anxiety and depression. I am consistently engaging in learning opportunities to provide responsive and informed counselling services. In my practice, I strive to create a space where clients feel safe to open up and explore their experiences. I employ a strengths-based approach that highlights clients' strengths and resources within themselves and their communities. Clients are supported to identify areas of concern in their lives and goals they want to reach. Through our collaborative work together, I help clients harness their strengths and resources, and take actions towards living a fulfilling life. My practice is informed by various evidence-based theories and therapies. Depending on clients' needs and goals, I integrate different therapies. Most notably, my practice is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotionally-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT). As a counsellor, I aim to meet you where you are, and when you’re ready, support you as you make meaningful changes. Counselling is available in person at a convenient location in downtown Victoria or online upon request.
