About Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District
Just 40 miles west of the state’s capital, Cobleskill-Richmondville Central School District was created in 1993 when two neighboring districts in the heart of Schoharie County were consolidated. Our district serves families in Cobleskill, Richmondville, and 13 other rural townships spanning more than 181 square miles. Approximately 1,550 students, from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade, attend one of our four schools. Our mission is to educate, inspire and empower each student to become a creative, engaged and productive citizen. The district has a strong focus on inclusion and individualized support, ensuring that students with diverse learning needs receive the attention and resources they deserve. Students have direct access to a broad range of support services, including speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and counseling services. Cobleskill-Richmondville takes great pride in the high quality of our unique special education programs and our ability to educate our students in-district in the least restrictive environment. In addition, fourteen neighboring districts entrust us with their special education students, recognizing our commitment to providing a supportive, inclusive, and effective learning environment tailored to each child's unique needs.
