About Cockatoo Kids

Cockatoo Kids creates content that encourages musical creativity for young kids of all abilities. We make music based kids content, including songs, videos, TV, educational tools and merchandise and are currently enjoying developing a TV format. Where we started: Our debut album ‘Wild Life’ was released in 2019 and has ten unique songs about animals from around the world. All songs from 'Wild Life' are written by Sydney schoolgirl Coco Espie and singer/songwriter Jane Walker. Coco has cerebral palsy, and album and merchandise sales contribute to Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation, which helps so many kids (including Coco). Our songs celebrate different animals, and sales also contribute to Taronga Conservation Society Australia, supporting wildlife conservation around the world. And we also support Ocean Recovery Alliance and the work they do looking after the oceans and waterways. We launched 'Wild Life' at "Dreamnight" on the International Day of People with Disabilities at Taronga Zoo, Sydney in 2019. Performances also include the Source Kids Disability Expo at Sydney's International Convention Centre, Christmas show at Max Brenner HQ, and again at Taronga Zoo for Earth Optimism Day and other "Dreamnight" events. Our songs and videos can be found on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube and have been featured on Kinderling radio, ABC Kids Listen, Kids.Radio in USA. Media includes: ABC Sydney Radio Afternoons with James Valentine, K-Zone Kids Mag, Link Magazine. Jane Walker from Cockatoo Kids has taught songwriting workshops for people of all ages and abilities including at One&All Hub, Taronga Zoo (Youth at the Zoo teenagers), Kinephonics and Woollahra Libraries.
