About Coddle

Coddle is a social enterprise member of Singapore Centre for Social Enterprise (raiSE), with the aim to support the eldercare scene in Singapore. Through Coddle’s platform, family caregiver can identify individuals, also known as Coddlers, to provide medical chaperone services for their loved, such as bringing them for medical appointments when their family caregivers are unavailable. Coddle enables each coddler to be connected to their community by screening them individually, and ensuring they are trained with essential eldercare skills, such as wheelchair handling and communication skills to interact with an elderly. Coddle aims to supply sufficient Coddlers who are willing to be trained or have relevant caregiving experience to provide medical chaperone services within each community. Through various marketing efforts, Coddle hopes to generate awareness within middle income families for using a medical chaperone service and adopting a transparent approach in booking Coddlers. Singapore has a low supply of healthcare workers such as nurses, which is why campaigns such as “Care to go Beyond” is running consistently in the hope to recruit more professional healthcare workers. As a company, Coddle intends to bridge the gap for befriending and medical chaperone services by enabling individuals with the right attitude to be a Coddler. Every elder cared for.
