MISSION STATEMENT Coeurage Ensemble’s mission is to develop and perform high quality "Pay What You Want" performances for Los Angeles and online audiences through processes that are ensemble driven, community conscious, intersectional and antiracist. VISION STATEMENT Coeurage Ensemble’s vision is a theater company that continually lifts up artistic voices from the global majority, provides equitable access to theater, reaches traditionally underserved audiences and explores new storytelling languages in emerging media—all while producing work that reflects core values of egalitarianism and hope for a better world. CALL TO ACTION In response to the dangers of Covid-19, growing economic instability, and the need to dismantle systemically racist structures within society and confront our own unconscious biases, Coeurage recognizes that major internal changes must be made on a number of artistic and organizational levels. We are committed to boldly moving forward in this new world by producing with greater intention on diversity, equity and inclusion. This commitment extends to the writers, designers, and directors we work with, the systems under which we function, and the composition of our artistic ensemble and board.
