At Cohen Children's Medical Center, we’re dedicated to providing the very best care to meet the special needs of children, from premature babies to adolescents. Our 202-bed hospital opened in 1983 as the New York metropolitan area's only hospital designed exclusively for children. Today we are the largest provider of pediatric health services in New York state, serving 1.8 million children in Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk counties. At our center, children see us differently—because we approach them differently. We understand their needs, their emotions, their fears, and their wish to lead normal lives—to just be kids. That's why we’ve created a warm and bright environment to make every child's stay with us as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
