Welcome to Coinsence Community. Nonprofits, grassroots organizations and social entrepreneurs play an instrumental role in addressing local and global challenges faced by societies today. However, due to financial constraints and limited personal capacities, fulfilling their missions often becomes difficult and not sustainable. We see an urgent need for innovative and participative approaches that allow pooling non- monetary resources and enable contribution-based ownership models in order to encourage people and businesses to co-innovate, collaborate and jointly contribute to problem-solving. COINSENCE works on a decentralized platform that provides a range of tools to empower people, organizations, and communities to collaborate on initiatives that benefit society. In a participatory process, communities can create their own tokens, assign a value to it and allow users to allocate these tokens to projects that are expected to have a positive community impact. Projects can use these token during implementation to acquire different resources and services and as such, these tokens represent proofs of valuable contributions. They can be used by the projects as well as by the contributors as a medium of exchange e.g. in peer-to-peer marketplaces or redeemed for discounts with business partners. In the long term, the tokens can also represent equity shares and voting rights in jointly created assets. Coinsence uses blockchain technology to guarantee data integrity and user's sovereignty. Furthermore, smart contracts provide stakeholders with the means to enter into flexible agreements that are consensus-based and ensure accountability and transparency for all parties involved.
