About Collective Action Against Poverty (CAAP)
Our journey began with a simple realization that all people should be able to access their rights based entitlement. It involved research, speaking to community members, local leaders, government officers and NGOs working in the welfare space. With support from Graduate Institute Geneva and several experts some of which are part of our advisory board now we were able to formally establish our NGO, Collective Action Against Poverty (CAAP) which works to improve access to social welfare scheme which can act as the first step out of poverty and upward social mobility. Founded: 2024 Specialties: Social Welfare schemes, Community awareness and empowerment, partnerships We are dedicated to make social welfare reachable; right based entitlements accessible; and upward social mobility possible. We envision a future where benefits of welfare schemes reach all people based on eligibility and need and people’s trust in the government system is restored and they feel encouraged to overcome poverty.
