Our loved ones are often the reason we work so hard. My job is to help you make sure your loved ones are properly cared for and to preserve your resources for their benefit. My purpose is to help clients understand how to handle unexpected events in their lives. For example, if you can no longer take care of yourself or there has been a death in the family: How is the mortgage going to be paid? Who can get money out of my accounts to pay for food? Who is going to take care of my kids and how is that going to be determined? Will my children have to move? A lot of us are concerned about something happening to us that will be a burden on the rest of our family. We also worry about causing a significant impact on their ability to live their lives. A lot of planning goes into dealing with incapacity because it can be a very trying period for the family. Estate planning is important to me, because it is the process used to manage those issues. It helps people know the control of their lives after something happens is in the hands of people they trust most. It also allows them to focus on things that are more fulfilling in their personal and professional lives. I enjoy providing solutions to ensure my clients' families will be taken care of if they cannot do it themselves. I also take pride in finding the right fit based on my clients’ goals and values; ensuring they understand the available options; and actively engaging them in the process. That is why I went to law school – to learn how I can help people.
