About Color My Story
COLOR stands for Capable Of Learning through Others’ Realities. We create safe spaces for people to be honest about their life experiences - first with themselves, then with others. Using storytelling and art, we help unite people through shared life experiences and hope to create a kinder, more compassionate, and emotionally intelligent world. Through our COLOR sessions we combine journaling, art and small group for a one of a kind experience that anyone can enjoy. (Corporate COLOR, Community COLOR, etc) Our COLOR Kits translate our in-person events to sessions that you can enjoy at home — alone, with family or a group of friends. WHO do we do it for? Corporate COLOR was created to help combat work stresses and deal with emotions that don’t stop when you clock in or out. During these events, walls are torn down creating a shared sense of team building and comradery that leads to happier work cultures and increases productivity. Community COLOR is our philanthropic division that serves underfunded children. We hold free events that give the children a chance to unpack their truest feelings. These workshops help the students relate to one another and know they aren’t the only one who deals with complicated, sometimes messy, or hard to process situations. It gives them a safe space to use their voice and validate their emotions which creates more cooperative spaces, and gives them permission to dream again. Collegiate COLOR is specifically for college aged students. On their own for the first time, the transition to adulthood, finding their identity and setting their own path, can come with overwhelming feelings. During these sessions, we give students the opportunity to process in a collective space, and access to any needed resources. We create spaces that help the world feel a little less lonely. Sometimes just admitting your truth is enough, other times you may need a little extra support, inspiration, or empathy from another.
