New York City-based, Colors in Optics, ltd., previously was one of the only US manufacturers of eyewear, universally regarded as the leader of impeccably fabricated products. Founder and CEO Sanford Hutton was a licensed optician who, in 1976, perfected a process to infuse eyewear frames with twenty-five vibrant colors never before available, including Cherry Red, Cobalt Blue, Emerald Green, and Violet. Hutton’s innovative vision is legendary within the eyewear business and forever changed the marketplace. He inspired imaginative thinking and ignited enduring consumers’ desires for exciting, high fashion, high trend styles in their optical wardrobes. Today, in addition to its own Colors in Optics brand, Colors in Optics, Ltd. designs, distributes and manufactures eyewear for Jessica Simpson, Martha Stewart, U.S. Polo Association, Vince Camuto, Sam Edelman, Circus, Elie Tahari, Nanette Lepore, Laundry by Shelli Segal, Southpole and Rocawear. Colors in Optics, Ltd. is also the exclusive distributor for several European brands, including Charriol. In addition, Colors in Optics, Ltd. is trusted by many as a key source for Private Label product sold in stores throughout the United States.
