About Columbia Council of Neighborhoods
While Columbia is socially and economically diverse, all of Columbia’s residential neighborhoods experience similar needs. In collaboration with the City of Columbia, the Columbia Council of Neighborhoods (CCN) was launched in 1977 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit, and today, serves as a link between neighborhood groups and city officials as well as a resource for information and a forum for discussion of issues while fostering neighborhood collaboration and development. A key ongoing objective is to educate and effectively communicate community needs to city officials, enhancing the process of identifying problems and setting priorities for solutions.
