The Columbia Global Paris Center is part of a network of 11 worldwide centers of Columbia University in the City of New York, one of the world's leading academic institutions. These centers serve as Columbia University’s physical and intellectual gateway to the world, manifesting its commitment to leveraging remarkable scholarship, expertise, and resources to address global challenges and inspire intellectual endeavors across four continents. For nearly sixty years, Columbia University students and faculty have come to study, teach, or pursue their research at Reid Hall, an exceptional space in the world of international education and cultural exchange. Our public events draw on the rich resources of the Columbia campus and our local partners, creating a "third space" of intellectual exploration and research that resists easy categorization. Our workshops, lectures, and performances bring together a diverse audience to address pressing issues through creative, rigorous, and open dialogue. Nestled in the Montparnasse district, Reid Hall hosts several Columbia University initiatives: the Paris Center, the Institute for Ideas and Imagination, Columbia Undergraduate Programs, M.A. in History and Literature, and the GSAPP Shape of Two Cities Program.
