FAI Production was established in 1897 as a family business specialising in copper based products. FAI has been supplying components to the submerged arc furnace manufacturers and ferroalloy producers since 1920 and has built up an extensive knowledge of the requirements of these industries. In 1980, FAI Production started with the manufacturing of forged copper electrode components to address the problems associated with components made from a variety of cast materials. Today, FAI Production in corporation with COMETVA SA, is an established producer of a wide range of forged copper components. COMETVA SA / FAI components have a significant dominance in the local and international market due to the quality of our raw material used, design and manufacturing processes. These processes have been developed and refined over the past 40 years to ensure a product that is purposefully designed for each customer and application. The robustness and reliability result in constant furnace operation over the equipment’s proven life, with the direct result of excellent furnace performance. Our aim is to optimize the use of electrical energy from the transformer’s output terminals to the end of the electrode tip where it is essential for producing more metal with the same amount of electrical energy.
