About Comex Procurement

Owen is the founder of Comex which designs custom e-auction software for corporate clients. After spending over ten years as a buyer who first used auctions in 2010 he saw firsthand the effectiveness of e-auctions as a tool to not only save money transparently but to save time as well. He then left corporate to create his own software built from a buyer's perspective with the aim to make it low cost and easier to use than the large international service providers. His aim was to provide users with their own custom branded software combined with procurement consulting services and Comex was born. For the last 6 years Comex has provided e-auction and RFx software and consulting for Pick n Pay and more recently Fidelity Group and has saved over R260 million net from 138 e-auctions in various procurement categories.
