Comfort Control was established in the late 1960s by Johnny Morgan, famously known as "Freon John." He retired in the early 1980s, selling the business to George Stuart of Stuart's Air Conditioning Co. His grandson, Mike Summerhill, began his career in HVAC by working summers alongside his father in Metairie, LA, at Brad's A/C. After graduating high school in 1988, he went on to join Grantham Air Conditioning in Ridgeland, MS. Starting as a duct installation helper, he benefited from the mentorship of Neil Harrison and gained extensive knowledge of the trade. In 1998, Mike began subcontracting for several local HVAC contractors. He incorporated his own business in 2004, naming it after his grandfather's company, Comfort Control.
