THE CNB WAY Founded on the premise of being “The People’s Bank”, Commercial National Bank (CNB) has served customers and the community for over 50 years. Commercial National Bank is the oldest locally owned bank in the Texarkana area tracing its roots back to the George W. Peck, Sr. family whose heirs still own the bank today. The story of Commercial National Bank begins on the steps of City Hall of Texarkana, Arkansas in January 1964 where shareholders met for the first time. On February 5, 1964, Commercial National Bank opened its doors in a small, leased, red brick building on the corner of Fourth and Walnut Street. A more permanent building was completed in June 1966 directly across the street. After that, a total of five additional locations were opened providing the most locations to serve customers in the Texarkana area. Since its inception, Commercial National Bank has had as its primary mission to serve the banking and economic needs of Texarkana and the surrounding counties of Miller, Arkansas and Bowie, Texas. CNB has always been a responsible member of the business community and is committed to the best interests of citizens in the Texarkana and the surrounding areas through living the core values of Trust, Respect, Listening, Being Responsive, and striving for Relentless Improvement.
