About Commissionaires - Hamilton
Commissionaires Hamilton is a not-for-profit Corporation and is licensed by the Province of Ontario to engage in the Business of Selling the Services of Security Guards. Commissionaires Hamilton is an accredited company for training under the Private Security and Investigative Services Act. The Hamilton Division is listed (Listing Number 89043) by Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) as a qualified provider of uniformed security guards and uniformed security guard supervisors. The Hamilton Division was established in 1937 and currently has nearly 300 commissionaires at 61 worksites. In emergency situations commissionaires from throughout the Division’s catchment area can be employed to provide a surge capability. Our new Chief Executive Officer, Don Thompson, was appointed on June 1, 2022, and reports to a volunteer Board of Directors headed by HLCol Glenna Swing, CD, Chair of the Board, who provide oversight and guidance to the Division.
