The Committee of 100 for Economic Development, Inc. (C100) is a private, non-profit organization whose members include CEOs and other senior officers of leading Louisiana private and public companies, professional firms and universities. It fulfills its mission to assist the State in attracting and retaining industry, thereby ensuring quality jobs for Louisianans, through a three-part program to: • Directly support the efforts of state government by cooperating with and providing resources to the Louisiana Economic Development (LED) Department • Engage with entities that seek to positively influence public policy – the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry (LABI), the Council for a Better Louisiana (CABL), Blueprint Louisiana and the Public Affairs Research Council (PAR) – on issues that affect economic development • Maintain two-way communication with C100 members to ascertain their views and ideas about specific economic development projects and keep them fully informed about all activities of the organization
