Positioned at the intersection of food, education and environment, Common Vision nurtures a more healthy and just society by planting orchards and school gardens that serve as a foundation for engaged academic learning and environmental conservation. We cultivate outdoor learning spaces that are essential to growing the whole child, authentic community, and a resilient planet. We envision a world where sustainable agriculture provides all people with access to culturally relevant foods and a thriving natural environment that inspires social and climate justice. After 20 years of planting fruit trees in disadvantaged communities across California, Common Vision has used the last three years to seed expanded work, literally and figuratively, by growing its roots and relationships in the East Bay - where our garden classrooms are essential cornerstones for experiential learning, personal & community wellness, and environmental stewardship.
