About Commuknitty

Through the Commuknitty network, we have connected to hundreds of young fashion creatives who are struggling more than ever to start and grow their careers and businesses. Though they may have bucket loads of talent and have acquired the skills to design and create, they are often lacking in industry know-how, experience, and confidence. In January 2022 we launched The Commuknitty Mentoring Programme which aims to address this problem by providing young fashion creatives with one-to-one guidance, support and advice through a six-month mentoring programme via monthly, one hour meetings online or in-person. The programme will be open to 18-28 year olds from under-represented groups, low-income backgrounds or parts of the country isolated from major fashion hubs.
