About Communities In Schools of North Texas
The mission of Communities In Schools of North Texas (CISNT) is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. CISNT walks alongside students, providing the tools and resources they need to overcome obstacles and succeed in school. As an affiliate of the nation's largest dropout prevention network, CISNT ensures that students identified as at-risk of dropping out receive the support they need to flourish. CISNT's unique model of service addresses every student's unique barriers. With a full-time CIS Site Coordinator on each campus that we serve, we partner with school leadership to remove barriers, including food, clothing, counseling, and academic and behavioral support. Whatever it takes, we surround students with a community of support so they can thrive. We provide daytime and afterschool programming that utilize the Communities In Schools service model to address barriers to success. Districts served: Bridgeport ISD, Denton ISD, Gainesville ISD, Krum ISD, Lake Dallas ISD, Lewisville ISD, and Northwest ISD. CISNT is a 501(c)3 non profit organization.
