Download Communitique in the Apple Store or Google Play to start building new friendships and community with your old clothes! 💖🌎👗♻️💛 We are a startup building a rapidly growing global community of sustainable fashion swappers acting locally. - join your Communitique city hub when you join the app (join up to two) - upload clothes or fabric you're ready to gift - browse and request items posted by others in your city - chat in the app when an item is requested and accepted to plan to meet up locally to exchange items - add friends to stay in touch and keep swapping - climb the sustainability leaderboard as you exchange clothes At Communitique, we love fashion, but we don’t love the financial and environmental costs, so we’re disrupting them through our virtual clothes exchange platform! Fashion is one of the largest drivers of climate change, from production, to shipping, to landfill and mismanaged waste. Most clothes end up in the trash after only a few wears, contributing significantly to plastic (oil) consumption and pollution. Our solution: keeping clothes circular and local, and doing so in a way that tackles the reality that sustainable secondhand options have become increasingly expensive and inaccessible to those who would benefit the most from repurposed clothes. All our clothes are exchanged for free and for fun, creating a system that is equitable and centers fashion as community care. We are also gamifying the quest for sustainable fashion choices. Each exchange in your city avoids an average amount of CO2 emissions, water use, and more.
