About Community Asset Services Cooperative
We are a cooperative formed to help organisations such as charities, SMEs, community orgs, local government meet their aims, overcome issues and realise their vision. We will support you with a range of issues such as; asset transfer, fundraising, governance, building management, training, project management, business planning (the list is not exhaustive). Who are we? Steve Conway: is a specialist practitioner and consultant with over twenty five years experience working with communities and voluntary sector organisations. His diverse range of experience includes; supporting governance and sustainability, business planning, budgeting and funding and developing long term sustainability via improved trading and income generation. He's a specialist in community asset transfer, community ownership and management of assets associated with community groups, charities and social enterprises. Phil Murphy; spent many years as Firefighter and Fire Officer with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, Phil entered the Building Management sector using his knowledge and experience to manage risk reduction and compliance in large commercial buildings. Developing his qualifications in Health, Safety and the Environment, Phil migrated to roles concerned with environmental sustainability, achieving a positive impact across a nationwide portfolio of large properties by managing significant waste and carbon footprint reductions. A growing interest in social sustainability, Phil has spent three years working for a charity across sector boundaries in areas of need. Ed Connole: has managed charity and voluntary sector organisations for over twenty years in London, Manchester and Liverpool. An essential skill in leading and helping these organisations realise their vision and become sustainable was to successfully generate revenue via grants, fundraising and trading. Additionally he has been engaged by numerous organisations as a freelance fundraiser.
