About Community Choice Behavioral Health

Community Choice Behavioral Health (CCBH) was founded to fight the marginalization and stigma around mental health in Maine - and to support mental health professionals provide these services and resources. We believe everyone deserves care, respect, and support. Our mission is to help people build strength, stability, dignity, and independence in their lives. We offer outpatient therapy for adults and teens. Our licensed therapists use proven, trauma-informed methods to help people heal, manage mental health challenges, and reach their goals. Therapy can help with stress, trauma, depression, anxiety, substance use, OCD, mood disorders, and more. We also provide DBT group therapy, with separate sessions for adults and adolescents. These groups aid in managing emotions, reducing stress, and improving relationships. To join, you must already be receiving outpatient therapy with a licensed provider (through us or elsewhere). CCBH offers diagnostic assessments to determine what mental health services someone may qualify for. These include assessments for general mental health, addiction, and co-occurring disorders. Case management is also available for eligible adults and teens with MaineCare. Case managers help people find services, navigate care systems, access resources, and make progress toward their personal goals. At CCBH, we also know that when case managers and therapists are supported, clients benefit. That’s why we focus on creating a positive, team-based environment for everyone involved.
