About Community Health Free Clinic
The mission of Community Health Free Clinic (CHFC) is to alleviate human pain and suffering through access to and delivery of compassionate healthcare. Medical care is provided to CHFC patients by a combination of volunteer and paid healthcare providers. Patient care includes diagnosis and treatment of acute issues, such as respiratory infections, sore throats, mild dermatology conditions and injuries, such as sprains and strains. Additionally, CHFC will provide limited support for the management of chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes and asthma. Dental care is provided to clinic patients by volunteer dentists. Patients seen in the CHFC dental clinic are provided comprehensive care, including fillings, cleanings and additional services to ensure patients are disease free. CHFC partners with local dentists who are able to immediately see patients with emergent needs such as a root canal or extraction. The eye clinic sees patients on an appointment basis to provide diagnostic exams and treatment for individuals dealing with eye disease and poor vision. CHFC has two prescription programs that provide short and long-term medications to patients free of charge.
