About Community LINC

Community LINC's mission is to end homelessness, impact poverty and remove barriers to self-sufficiency for the families we serve. Each year, Community LINC provides Interim and Immediate Housing to approximately 150 homeless families in the greater Kansas City area. Our vision is to end family homelessness in Kansas City by providing the tools and resources families need to break the cycle of homelessness. With the advocacy and support of staff and volunteers, our residents reduce or eliminate their debt, establish and maintain savings and work on life skills and self-sufficiency. Community LINC’s Children’s Program provides resilience and nutritional life skills training, as well as mental wellness services and academic advocacy and support. A mix of staff and volunteers deliver classes in age-related groups. Our goal is to prepare children to live independent and healthy lives. Community LINC also provides Aftercare Services once families are in their permanent homes. This continued support ensures families will maintain their independence.
